July-August 2012
July and August are two very exciting months for Colchester. Starting with the arrival of the Olympic Torch on Friday 6th July and culminating in the absolutely brilliant Colchester Free Festival on Saturday 25th August. It promises to be the biggest and best free festival Colchester has yet seen. In between, we see around 50 businesses taking part in the Birkett Long £50 Challenge – a summer-long fundraising challenge in aid of St Helena Hospice. Read all about it in the mag. West Mersea plays host to a music-filled Jubilee Regatta on 25th August – a treat for all the family. For even more ideas on how to spend your summer in Colchester check out our What’s On Guide. As always, it’s packed with stuff to see and do.
