Recently a National Student Survey completed by around 265,000 students in higher education placed the University of Essex within the top 20 mainstream universities in England, for student satisfaction! However it comes as no surprise that the Essex students are impressed. As well as the outstanding education provided, there is always something to do. The campus facilities include an array of places to eat and drink, shops, a nightclub and a theatre! However these aren't all just exclusive to the students!
The theatre on campus known as The Lakeside Theatre regularly hosts a variety of live music, theatre, comedy nights and films, which the public are welcome to come and enjoy! The theatre is run by a small dedicated team known as Arts On 5. They work closely with internationally renowned and emerging performers and students to bring together an excellent and culturally diverse programme of arts events to Colchester. With many upcoming shows this spring for all ages, there is no better time to go!
