It's a Wrap!

On Sunday 17th, a nine-man (& woman) strong team set up camp in Castle Park, armed with several bags of clothing, an array of sunglasses, hats and shoes, as well as enough lipstick and hairspray to glam up an army. Our mission for the day? To make the most of local talent, and complete a beautiful, quirky fashion shoot in the heart of Colchester. If you happened to be in Castle Park this Sunday, you might have seen our photographer Iona Hodgson leading the way with her Canon camera. And you certainly wouldn't have been able to miss Annabel and Frankie, our two models posing in the spring-time sun, sometimes languidly, and sometimes energetically (dancing around the thousand-year old walls that served as our props), but always with perfect poise. On hand to keep Annabel's hair 'just so' and her make-up perfect, was Kat Munch from Benjamin Charles hair salon, joined by salon owner Benn Holbrook-Morris. Of course, no shoot is complete without a team of fashion-savvy stylists to put together the ten outfits that were needed to grace our models' bods. Emma and Jen from local vintage emporium Revolver Retro Fashionstook on what would have been a monumental task if it wasn't for the fact that they are so darn good at what they do. It is thanks to all of the above (as well as everyone who lent their products for the shoot) that the May issue is set to become my most favourite one yet.
